Colorado friends, please join me for CU Advocates Day at the Capitol on January 30th from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Capitol's Old Supreme Court Chambers. Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper, CU President Bruce Benson, CU CFO Todd Saliman, National Mental Health Innovation Center's Matt Vogl, and others will share updates on the value of higher education to our state's economy. This is a free event that you can RSVP for now at this link. (You don't need to be a CU alumni to attend.)
This is the third year in a row that I'll be attending this terrific event that is expertly orchestrated by Michele McKinney, AVP of CU's Advocacy and External Relations, and Tanya Kelly-Bowry, VP of CU's Government Relations.
Michele leads CU's Advocates program, which I encourage you to join now at this link. This is a free-to-join network of several thousand alumni and friends of CU that has several world class events each year.
In fact, as I type this blog post, I attended one of CU Advocates terrific luncheons earlier today, done in partnership with Forever Buffs Metro Denver. (Another great network for CU Boulder alumni to join!) Today's luncheon was a CU Lunch and Learn with CU Boulder Professor Lucy Chester sharing insights on Afghanistan and Pakistan. It was an absolutely fascinating presentation on a complicated region of our world. I walked away reminded that CU has the best professors. Go CU!
p.s. I plan to blog about Work-Life Happiness weekly in 2018. I'd be honored if you'd subscribe to my blog's emails on my website at: www.mikepritchard.com/subscribe.html
